On Monday January 7 2008 the Olympic Delivery Authority are hosting an event at St John's Church Hall in the centre of Stratford, with presentations on both the Aquatics Centre and the Olympic Stadium. You will be able to see the latest designs for the venues and speak to the Olympic Delivery Authority staff about the projects.

The event will commence at 6:30pm and run until 8:30pm. Doors will open at 6pm.

In September this year the Olympic Delivery Authority was granted outline planning permission to construct the venues for the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games.

Over the next few months detailed planning applications for various buildings and infrastructure within the Olympic Park including the major venues will be made.

The first application to construct the ground works for the Olympic Stadium was submitted in November, which will be followed by a second application detailing what it will look like, in spring 2008.

The application for the Aquatics Centre will be submitted in January 2008 so the construction team can get on site to start to building next summer.
