The 2012 Games will be remembered not just for
being a truly world class sporting spectacle, but also for
providing long-lasting benefits to Newham residents.
Newham Council is working closely with the organisers
of the London Games to ensure a legacy of improved and increased
employment opportunities for local people.
They are also working with the other host boroughs (Greenwich,
Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest) to provide bring high
quality training and help local people be prepared for new job
opportunities created by the 2012 Games.
