Our Objectives
In order to live up to our vision,
we have a set of six practical objectives which we will
follow.
1. To maximise the opportunities from
the Games delivery process to develop an environmental legacy for
all - which is attractive, clean, safe, sustainable and
accessible for all.
2. Maximising the benefits of the 2012 Games to
deliver a legacy which celebrates culture and diversity -
by building an active and inclusive
community
3. Maximising the opportunities from the 2012
Games to deliver a legacy of improved health and well being -
where individuals and communities take more responsibility
for improving their own health and well-being
4. To inspire and encourage participation and
engagement of all our young people for the 2012 Games - in
order to raise aspirations, develop self esteem and
confidence
5. To maximise the Games delivery process to
develop a thriving economic legacy - where all people share
in the growing prosperity
6. To act as a strategic influencer across the
2012 delivery programme - in order to join up and promote
partnerships across Newham, London, the UK and
Globally
